Hi, I'm Sophie and this all started with a small request... of a penguin for Christmas! Now, I didn't get a real penguin, but a steady stream of penguin toys started being bought for me and this was the beginning of my penguin obsession.

After I received Pici the Penguin, a super soft penguin toy from The Deep which became my firm favourite, I started to chronicle his adventures on Instagram, along with the rest of my large, fast growing, penguin toy collection.

I began searching far and wide for new and even more adorable penguin goods, but I was dissapointed that there wasn't anywhere to go and find cute penguin themed items all in one place.

After chatting about the lack of penguin shops in the UK a friend asked me why I hadn't set one up myself - and after talking about the idea and getting encouragement from friends and family, I decided to fix it and The Penguin Patrol became a reality!

As a small business, I wanted to make sure that local UK makers and designers were supported alongside the big name toy brands so you will always find something unique at The Penguin Patrol.
